What is Work?

Work is found on the Home page and is permission based. It shows the Work Profiles available in your database. If your database does not use work profiles then this option will not be available.

A practitioner and a property can be set but not required. The ledger shown will be where procedures are recorded (if work items have procedures linked).

Each tab under Work reflects a work profile in your database. Examples of work profiles are

• Farrier
• Repro
• Inspection

All of the work profiles set up in your database, are displayed under this option. Each database will have their own work profile, work sections and work items making each database's work unique.

A work profile will allow you to add multiple work items to a horse and can be more efficient than using procedures. Work items can only be added to a horse via the mobile app. They do not have a financial value. If you need to charge an owner for the item selected then a procedure within your database that has an associated cost will need to be linked to the work item.
